The main object of study were different groups of invertebrates and vertebrates animals in ecosystems of Ukraine and abroad, in numerous collections and exposition of museum. The goal is achieved using various methods of field and laboratory research, through scientific inventory of collections and creatint the electronic databases. By auditing the family Gobiidae collections from Zoological Museum of NMNH NASU clarified taxonomic affiliation of some samples and made suggestions for changes in the faunal lists and in the list of Redbook of Ukraine.
