It was shown how filling the gap with inert gas has influence on the quality of the joints of chemically active metals. It was given the recommendations on using the inert gases for explosion welding. The technology of producing of modificated elongated cumulative charges with lead shel for cutting of metals was developed. The charges have increased ability to bend in two planes. New improved small-scale (1:5) tubular explosion chamber for 2.4 kg of explosive (TNT equivalent) was made and tested. Dynamics of stress-deformation state of main constructive elements was investigated.
