The aim of the project consisted in elucidation of a role of physiologically active peptides in maintaining of the energy support and calcium homeostasis regulation of the digestive glands secretory cells. Ca2+ transport systems of plasma membrane and intracellular Ca2+ stores of the secretory cells, respiration and oxidative phosphorylation processes and Ca2+ accumulation by the liver mitochondrion were the subject of this investigation.
