The DNA - single wall carbon nanotube complexes were obtained. It was revealed that DNA shows non-canonical conformation in these complexes, the cites of interactions were determined. New methods on the basis of SEIRA and SERS for registration and characterization of carbon nanotubes in complex with homonucleotides have been developed. It was shown that in the complex under study the poly-A and poly-C depends on pH solution, meanwhile the conformation of poly-A, adsorbed on the nanotube, is determined by the initial poly-A conformation. The energy of formation of stable complexes- adenine-nanotube, thymine-nanotubes was estimated with ab initio quantum-chemical methods. Energy of interaction was calculated in the 3.2-12.1 kcal/mol region and protonated forms have energy of interaction in 1.5-2 time more in comparison with non-protonated forms on the basis of 2 different methods. The interaction of nucleic acids with carbon nanotubes caused by - stacking that takes place between surface of carbon nanotube and DNA bases. Visualization of carbon nanotube bundles, isolated nanotubes by AFM, transmission and scanning microscopy has confirmed the validity of the method of preparation of the samples of the isolated nanotubes and formation of the stable poly A-nanotube complex. In the DNA-nanotube complex, the DNA could show both single strand and double strand conformation. DNA adsorption on carbon nanotube surface occurs by wrapping or linear extension with change of DNA conformation, the Van der Vaalce forces acts in this case.
