The gene SEF1 involved in positive regulation of riboflavin sinthesis in Candida famata yeast was identified. Introduction of additional copy of SEF1 3-4-folds stimulates riboflavin productivity (up to 80 mg of riboflavin / g of yeast) and 3-4-folds stabilizes the strain on the feature of "riboflavin oversynthesis". Constructed C. famata IMB Y-5033 strain could be used for more efficient industrial riboflavin production due to increased flavinogenic activity and stability.
