The parameters of these fields are evaluated using the electric signals taken from the sensors. The goal of this work is to develop the necessary engineering documentation; to develop the software; to manufacture a prototype sample of a portable 8-channel acoustic emission system that is able to locate the initiation and propagation of crack in a structural element and categorize the growing crack using the parameters of acoustic emission signals; to test this system at the continuously working objects like bridges, pipelines, wharf cranes, etc.; and to provide a metrological certification of the system. Research methods: mathematical modeling; spectral analysis of acoustic emission signals; physical experiment; circuit simulation; measurements of physical properties; statistical treatment of the obtained data reflected as acoustic emission signals. There was manufactured a prototype sample portable acoustic emission system SKOP-8M purposed for diagnostics of continuously working objects. This system was attested by the state center for standardization, metrology and certification. The methodology of acoustic emission diagnostics of continuously working objects was developed and practically verified on industrial objects.
