Some laws governing chemisorption on the silica and basalt fiber surface of a number of organosilicon compounds obtained by the degradation of high-molecular polydimethylsiloxane with sulfuric acid have been established. The water absorption by and vapor permeability thermal stability, fire resistance, microbiological stability of modified samples has been analyzed. A pilot unit for the high-temperature modification of inorganic fibrous materials has been created, a pilot lot of hydrophobic basalt mats has been manufactured; the prime cost of hydrophobization is 14.5 % of fiber cost. Technical documents have been prepared: a) regulations for making experimental oligodimethylsilandiol samples, b) laboratory regulations for the hydrophobization of basalt fiber formed as plates, c) technical certificate of a laboratory facility for the modification of basalt fiber surface. Recommendations for making the materials developed commercial have been prepared. Terms of receiving the report: under agreement. V.I.
