The coating consisting of ZnO nanocrystals with "island" structure was obtained by the method of heterogeneous crystallization. Closely packed 2D film structures were formed on the base of SiO2/ZnO heterostructures on quartz substrates. The stucural, optical and luminescent properties of such structures were studied.
