The work goal and tasks are fundamental investigations of mechanisms of mass and energy transfer processes and their optimization in thermodynamically non-equilibrium fluids on basis of continuum mechanics. Investigations are carried out using mathematical modeling, numerical simulation and experiments. A generalized mathematical model is developed for transfer processes in a hydrogen membrane fuel plate taking into account chemical reactions on catalytic layers; new approaches are offered to the design of bipolar plates of fuel elements.
