Information was systematized and analyzed using the standard for biomedical scientometrics descriptive method, qualimetric and semantic analysis. System of science-based criteria of appropriate security activities and promotional prospects of the results with experts engaging was developed. On the basis of expert assessments with the use of mathematical apparatus the researches rating distribution was defined. It was established that the completed researches have high innovative potential. In order to optimize the level of innovative research it is useful to reorient scientific communication means to those, which have a direct link with practical oncology. The proposed criteria system will provide an effective identification of objects of intellectual property in institute's priority research areas, will help to improve the patent-licensing and innovation activities of the medical-biological profile institutes.
