The purpose of research - to define psycho physiological characteristics and social - hygienic factors which determine longevity of the person's life. Research methods - social - hygienic, psycho physiological and statistical. It was found the most widespread diseases among people of old age and long-livers and a role treatment and prophylaxis in revealing illnesses. It is shown, that disease of the interrogated persons of old age was considerably affected with the social - hygienic factor (character of the feed, harmful habits, locomotion and welfare activity and life stresses). It was found positive influence of the optimal physical training and social activity on the general functional state of the elderly people. Results of the research can be used making decision in the medical and social spheres dealing with the planning and health care issues, public health services and social security of people of the senior century groups.
