Paton Electric Welding Institute popup.description2 Based on the analysis of an experience field of pipelines and on the investigation results of modern pipes' manufacture and the pipes which were in working, "The main items of technical requirements and rules of pipe-control for the oil and gas pipelines " were developed. The general conditions of reoperation of pipes, including the pipes after long-term working, which regulate examination of these pipes for the purpose of an estimation of their conformity to a target designation were defined. The main factors which are influencing on the initiation and development of stress-corrosion cracking of pipelines, namely: decreasing of an efficiency of anticorrosion protection, corrosion in a site of coating damage and the presence of critical mechanical pressure - were defined. Influence of intensity of the main independent risk factors on the stress-corrosion cracking was investigated. The determination technique of corrosion-dangerous sites of gas pipelines including the environment conditions, active and passive protection, soil characteristics, the intense-deformed state, metal structure and defects was developed.
