Residual hydrogen with a maximum removal temperature of 350-360 C is formed when the yttrium content in the weld metal is above 0,013% by weight which is typical for flux-cored welding in Ar shielding gas. Hydrogen redistribution does not occur in coated electrode welding because of the low yttrium content in the welded mental (less than 0.0006% wt.). The introduction of yttrium results in better dispersion of the weld metal microstructure. Maximum values of the plastic properties and impact resistance of high tempered weld metal, performed by the electrode E-09 H1MF by GOST 9467-75 assigned for welding of heat-resistant steels, are achieved when the content of yttrium in the electrode coating is 0,05 - 0,10%.
