A quantitetive disagreement between experimental data and the classical theory of solid-state reactions has been shown. New non-classical mechanisms of reaction zone development have been found : fragmentation of the reaction zone into numerous and chaotically dispersed aggregates of Cu2O surrounded with thin layers of CuO in reactions of copper oxidation, and also the spontaneous flow of transferred component beyond the boundaries of diffusion zone in the system BaO-Y2O3-CuO. The method of restruction of undesirable consequences of these phenomena have been founf. The method of rapid synthesis of superconducting barium-yttrium cuprate has been developed and patented.
