Mechnikov National University popup.description2 The aim of the work was to find correlations between the composition of the aerosil anchored oxialdimines and their complexes with Cu(II), Co(II, and Mn(II) and their reactivity in the low-temperature ozone decomposition and to develop methods for the synthesis of Fe(II, III), Co(II, III), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Mn(II) complexes with N,O- and N,S-ligands and for the determi-nation of their composition and structure. First, there have been obtained the activity sequences for aerosil immobilized oxialdimine ligands and for their Cu(II), Co(II), and Mn(II) complexes in the reaction of ozone decomposition. The activity of ML2/Si complexes depends on a nature of their ligands, a central atom, and geometry of the coordination unit. First, there was demon-strated a suitability of Gammette equation for analysis of electron effects of substituents in the benzene ring on the activity of L/Si ligands and ML2/Si complexes and for ascertainment of a reaction center nature conformably to the heterophase ozone decomposition. There was shown that an electron-donor substituent (ОСН3) increased the activity of immobilized L/Si ligands and ML2/Si complexes (M = Cu, Mn) whereas electron-acceptor substituents (Br, Cl) decreased it. In the case of СоL2/Si, those electron-acceptor substituents caused the converse effect. There have been synthesized valerianates, benzoates, phthalates, and tartrates of 3d metals with semicarba-zide and nicotineamide, coordination compounds with 4-phenylsemicarbazide and coordination compounds of 3d metal salicylates with thiosemicarbazide, following which, their compositions and structures have been studied. The semicarbazide complexes of cobalt(II) benzoate have been obtained as blue and rose isomers. Based on the spectral patterns, the dentativity of the molecular ligands has been found to depend on both a complexing metal and salt anion nature. Complex compounds of valerianates and benzoates and 3d metals with semicarbazide and nicotineamide were tested as catalysts. The relationship between the rate of catalytic hydrogen peroxide de-composition and a nature and geometry of the coordination unit of catalysts, the complex com-pounds, has been found.
