Investigations of the quality of the welded joints showed that repair (correction) of the selected defects by A-TIG welding using the PATIG-S activating flux (activator) provides qualitative correction of different types of defects in the butt joints without grooving of the defected weld metal, with penetration to a depth of down to 7 mm in one pass without filler wire.
