The objective of the work is to improve the educational process in students' physical education in Lviv National Polytechnic University. The methods of research are as following: theoretical analysis and synthesis of special scientific and methodical literature, questionnaires, educational experiment, anthropometry, methods of mathematical statistics. The results of the research have been introduced into the educational process of physical education, among them were the most effective exercises for physical skills development and students' physical state improvement which arouse positive emotions and willingness to train; exercises that provide the best applied physical training for surveyor students.
