Aim of the work: substantiation and choice of the scheme and creation of the complete set of the life support system of the refuge chamber (СЖК) for protection of the mine workers during the accident in the mine. Method of investigation: laboratory tests of the life support system of the refuge chamber by its connection to the compressor, investigations in the climatic chambers and on mechanical test benches, investigation of efficiency of the air preparation block by connection of the system to the pneumatic network under mine conditions. Investigation results and their novelty: as a result of the investigations carried out the scheme of the complete set of the life support system of the refuge chamber and its principal parameters, dimensions of the air supply ducts, number of the filters and their design features, necessary design of the suppressor are chosen. The novelty of the work are use of the new design of the filters, revision of the dimensions of the air supply ducts according to the design features of the refuge chamber, new design of the suppressor what guarantees the more comfortable conditions for the people that are there in the refuge chamber. Prognosis of development of the manufacturing object: working-out and serial production of the complete sets of the life support systems of the stationary refuge chambers for fitting-out the mines of the branch. The adoption of the complete sets of the life support system in the mines allows improving the labour safety of the mine workers and raising the efficiency of labour of the mine rescuers.
