There have been the waves of huge demonstrations and meetings in the cities and villages. The local authorities who wanted to return the situation under control have been against Bolsheviks. In 1917-1921, the South of Ukraine has begun to be the center of the most wide-scale peasant movement. It came to be like that because of the name of Nestor Makhno. The specific feature of this period was an armed standoff between different groups. But there were also political reasons in Makhno's plans and ideas. The declaration of "Revolutionary Rebel Army of Ukraine (people of Makhno)" contained foresight of struggle against policy of "warlike communism", the support of the defense of villages from exploitation and policy of famine. The most scientific works is about this peasant movement and the character of N.Makhno. After this movement had been destroyed there was mopping-up operation against peasants and this were keeping hereafter. It was very hard to restore the names of many people struggling for their beliefs that time. "Those who rehabilitated by history" and "The movement of peasant in Russia and Ukraine (1918-1921)" are the scientific series of books that has been created in Ukraine lately and which contains the short biographic dates about those who got repressed by soviet authority Product Description popup.authors Капустян Ганна Тимофіївна Капустян Сергій Сергійович Ткаченко Віктор Григорович Турченко Федір Григорович popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
