Our purpose is to develop theoretical and methodological foundations for the creation and practical use of mechanisms to prevent the hostile takeover of transport companies in the development of market relations in Ukraine. Our methods are the fundamental methods of the systems approach and systems analysis. We will use empirical scientific methods such as socio-economic forecasting, extrapolation methods, simulation, ball method, the method of principal components, and the method of cluster analysis. We will also use theoretical scientific methods, such as the method of economic experiment. Novelty - we will use theoretical and methodological foundations to prevent hostile takeovers in road transport enterprises in Ukraine. Effectiveness - the application of the recommended processes will achieve, through scientific and general economic methodologies, a stable state of economic security in transport companies. Such stability, achieved by the protection of management from hostile takeovers will promote the successful functioning of the motor transport complex on the whole, including passenger transport and road freight transport.
