The object of the research - the processes of tritium atmogeomigration, hydrogeomigration, biogeomigration in the environment. The purpose of this work is to determine patterns of tritium migration and buffer properties of geological environment components within the aeration zone both in ecosystems of impact zones of Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) and storage sites of radioactive waste. Such methods of research as geochemical, geostatistical, chemical, radiochemichal, radiospectrometrical, statistical, empirical ones were used. The complex of ecological problems that concerns formation, accumulation, distribution and migration of tritium in the environment under the influence of natural and technogenic factors, its radiobiological influence on living organisms, rating of its content in potable water and atmospheric air and safe storage of tritium waste is considered in the report. Now the main source of tritium in the biosphere is nuclear power. Official assessments of environmentally safe concentrations of tritium vary at 600 000 times in different countries that resulted in considerable diversity of tritium standards in the world. In spite of mechanism being formed in the process of biological evolution, the vegetation of natural-technogenic wetland ecosystems is accumulating a heavy isotope - tritium. The operation of storage sites of solid radioactive waste (RAW) in the context of communal radiation accident on Kiev State Transregional Specialized Plant of Ukrainian State Association "Radon" (STSP UkrSA "Radon") results in local tritium contamination of the environment that exceeds acceptable concentrations but now are not the threat to the population of Kiev. Results of the research work were used by the National Commission of Radiation Protection attached to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Kiev STSP UkrSA "Radon". Forecasts as for the research object development are as follows: designing a process of cleaning of heavy-water reactor moderator from tritium, its long-term localization in the technological reservoirs of NPP and plants for nuclear-fuel reprocessing.
