A study of available archaeological historical material (gold threads), found in Ukraine and Kazakhstan was conducted. We mastered the technique of studying samples using binocular microscope MBS-10 with an attached digital camera DCMC200 along with the advanced technique of Scanning Electron Microscopy and Electron Probe X-Ray Microanalysis. We begun creating full-fledged foundation for research of extremely rare archaeological material, which will in future allow us to categorize new findings by looking up analogies and decide on possible sources of their inflow to the territory of modern Ukraine. The results can be used at scientific institutions conducting similar researches.
