Research purpose: to prepare to edition maximally complete collection of works of prominent enlightener, scientist, inventor, social and political figure of the first half of XIX century Vasiliy Nazarovich Karazin with comments. It is assumed to expose V. Karazin works, which are in different collections and which was already printed in different editions, and also those which before was not published (are in archives, handwritten collections, private collections). Research methods: heuristic (searching), analytical. Implementation of project is given by possibility to use collection of Karazin works a for writing of research works, including candidate's and doctoral dissertations, train aids and textbooks, certificate and encyclopaedic, popular editions and pr. Edition can be the useful historians of scitech Ukraine and Russia, researchers of social and political idea of XVIII - XIX vv., to the researchers of a particular region, historians of Slobozhanschiny and, foremost, researchers and students of the Kharkov university. Collection of labours of Karazin (T. 1) allows better to imagine life and scientific interests of founder of the Kharkov university, deepen our knowledges about his surroundings. V. N.
