Composition and structure of the obtained precursors were characterized by IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. Obtained alkoxysilanes were used further as the initial components for the synthesis of xerogels using sol-gel method. It was synthesized a series of samples with different content of functional groups and different nature of structure-formed spacer. Texture of synthesized xerogels was examined using SEM and AFM. It was showed the presence of silica matrix and introduced functional groups using infrared spectroscopy.
