In connection with implementation in territory of Ukraine of the normative document DSTU GOST 8.586 (parts 1, 2, 5) [1-3] concerning calculation of natural gas flow measurement internal and external software is developed and modified according to requirements of this document. The purpose of this work is check opportunities of internal software of computers during operation to realize calculations of gas consumption and gas volume and software for computers scanning to function according to requirements of DSTU GOST 8.586 (parts 1, 2, 5) at gas metering objects of SC "Ukrtransgas", Joint-Stock Company "Gazprom", "Moldovagas" and "Beltransgas". Method of testing which is applied to check functioning of SW in accordance with requirements of the new standard, is based on information gaining by registration, calculation and analysis of the certain events. Results reliability of work of the software for computers scanning is checked by the method of results comparison for functions execution with results of the same functions execution by other similar software. Results of work: a) during the period from 24.02.09 to 13.03.09 at the border GMS of SC "Ukrtransgas" were made operational tests of internal SW of computers SF-IIE and Floutek-ТМ and also of modernized program complex (PC) Ask 1.0; b) by results of operational tests the software is recognized ready for application to commercial operation; c) during the period from 14.09.09 to 25.09.09 at the border GMS of SC "Ukrtransgas", joint-stock company "Gazprom" are held actions by coordination of internal SW of computers SF-IIE and Floutek-ТМ and also of modernized program complex (PC) Ask 1.0 for application to commercial operation. Field of application are GMS and GFMT of SC "Ukrtransgas". Economic benefit from introduction is scientific and technical. It can be shown due to increase of accuracy of gas flow metering.
