Functional tasks and obligations which are accomplished by workers of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine. The goal of the work - determination of draft structure of the Reference book of typical occupational-qualification characteristics of positions of workers of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine (further - Reference book). The working out of the Reference book, its adoption to requirements of the national system of occupational classification and Sectoral classification. Finishing works on the draft Reference book and respective sectoral classification for further agreement in the Ministry of Labour. Methods of research - modern information technologies, norms and establishment provisions, standards used in sphere of occupational classification, methods of statistical groupings, system approach, analytical and comparison analysis. The scientific novelty of this work consists in determination of place of each typical occupation (position) of workers of the national Criminal-Executive system in the draft Reference book. This work is grounded by tasks, obligations, rights and responsibilities of structural subunits, which are established for official persons on central, regional and communal levels; in the course of conduct of the research work also an analytical work had been conducted as to schemes of management of prison systems in certain foreign countries (USA, Israel, Great Britain).
