The degree of hydrogen absorption of metal was estimated by electrochemical diffusion method Dewanathan. The susceptibility of welding metal to inter-grain corrosion was detected accordong to standard ДСТ 6032 94 (method АМУ). The equation was found by regression analysis that connects the corrosion rate of weld 07Х19Н11М3 with concentration of alloying elements: chromium, nickel, yttrium, molybdenum. The powerful modifying influence of REM on structural components of welding metal, exactly shredding of grains, was established by metallography research. High affinity of REM to O2 and S leads to formation of high-temperature non-metal inclusions. They appear predominantly inside grains and crystallites. Inter-dendrite and inter-grain borders are cleaned and the modification of structural components occurs. This leads to delay of carbon diffusion in the temperature range of its maximal mobility. The chemical heterogeneity in near-border regions is reduced. The change of processes of carbide formation and non-metalic inclusions formation inside grains leads to reducing the intensity of corrosion processes inside near-border regions.
