A considerable part of the population of beet root weevils (Bothinoderes punctiventris) of both preimago and imago stages are attacked with different species of muscardina disease, with prevalence of green muscardina, which essentially effects the abundance of this pest. The application of systemic insecticides has no negative effects on the abundance of useful insects. Entomofauna of beet agrocoenosis is represented by 7 genera the most numerous of which are: Homoptera -48.5%, Coleoptera -25.6% and Diptera -12.3%. Cultural practices of sugar beet growing such as a prepreceding crop, plant nutrition and soil tillage play an important role in the abundance of both -harmful and useful insects which is evidenced by the results of the investigations carried out.
