The test samples with the layers based on hydroxyapatite on metal substrates were fabricated. The mechanical properties of coatings and their structure were investigated. It was shown that the coatings, obtained by gas-detonation deposition, not only yield to characteristics of coatings obtained by conventional deposition methods, but also far exceed them in qualitative and quantitative indicators.
