Object of investigation - severe mechanical trauma in combination with mechanical and thermal damage of 10 % of the skin surface. Aim of investigation - determining of pathogenetic peculiarities of the course of polytrauma in combination with skin damage and its correction by xenodermoplasty. Creation the model of polytraumatic injury of laboratory white rats which is adequate for the research of pathogenetic influence of mechanical and thermal damage of the skin. Determining the role of stress in the course of polytrauma. Methods of investigation - functional, electrophysiological, biochemical, morphological, mathematical. It was worked out the model of polytrauma that enables to research the pathogenic influence of accessory mechanical elimination or thermal damage of the skin. Preliminary modeling of acute stress worsens the course of polytrauma, which predominantly reflects the majority of violations that are typical for traumatic disease. Integral reography enables to prognose the survival of animals with polytrauma: shortening of raising and prolongation of descending parts of the volume curve as well as raising of coefficient of integral accuracy are adverse signs for the animals' survival in the first 24 hours after trauma. At modeling of severe trauma, comparing to control group, there are gradual decrease of bile-producting, bile-excreting and glycogensynthesizing liver functions as well as increase of activity of marker enzymes of cytolysis, lipid peroxydation and endogenic intoxication, signs of exhaustion of antioxidant defense from the first till seventh day of observation. The are acute violations of blood circulation on the histological specimens, till the third day the dystrophic-necrotic changes develop predominantly in the epithelial structures of parenchimatous organs, inflammatory changes appear before the seventh day. An accessory mechanical damage of the 10 % of skin surface leads to significant worsening of the researched values as well to acute violations of blood circulation combined with graduate transforming into dystrophic-necrotic changes the epithelial structures and to increased mortality of the animals, which was 60,0 % on the seventh day of experiment. Application of xenodermoplasty leads to improving of majority characteristics of bile-producting, bile-excreting and glycogensynthesizing liver functions as well as to decrease of activity of marker enzymes of cytolysis in blood serum, content of endotoxines and lipid peroxydation products, and to activation of antioxidant defense. The are acute violations of blood circulation and acute inflammation on the histological specimens at the beginning of experiment, these changes transform into dystrophic-necrotic changes of the epithelial structures on the third day of experiment. There was no mortality meanwhile. Zones of activation of regeneration and adaptation were observed in parenchimatous organs on the seventh day of experiment. The same positive changes appeared after accessory burn of ІІІ A-B stage and freezing of III stage of 10 % of skin surface after removal of necrectomy and covering the wounds by xenodermotransplantants. The changes in the injured animals after application of xenodermoplasty reflect its systemic influence on the organism. Results of scientific research work are implemented into the work of scientific laboratories and educational process at the department of pathologic physiology and at the department of catastrophes medicine and military medicine. Prognostic assumptions concerning the development of the object of investigation - search for the ways of improvement of systemic influence of xenodermoplasty by modification of treating abilities of xenodermotransplantants.
