Yanovsky popup.description2 To study the role of viral pathogens in causing community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and the development of optimal schemes of diagnosis and treatment of this disease, was examined 426 patients, 191 strains of bacteria, 289 strains of viruses. When screening viral pathogens have been found in 17.0% of patients with CAP. The greatest frequency was: influenza A - 47,6% of patients, adenovirus - 14,3%. In 44,8% of patients with CAP were allocated bacterial pathogens, most etiologic significance were S. pneumoniae (25,9% of cases) and H. influenzae (in 12,9% of cases).The combination of viral and bacterial pathogens have been seen in 18,7% cases. A method for treatment of non-severe viral CAP has been developed. Use of antiviral drugs has been improved the results of treatment from (71,85 ± 3,87)% to (86,78 ± 3,08)% and have been shorten hospitalization from (21,39 ± 1,84) days to (16,40 ± 1.49) days.
