With the use of asymptotic methods for analysis of electromagnetic and thermal processes in the high-frequency induction heating of metallic bars is conducted. New mathematical models, methods, algorithms and software are developed for the computerized informative-measuring system of statistical diagnostics which provides determination of the actual technical state of power electrical equipment (including mobile parts) with predefined accuracy and reliability. The system allows forecasting of refusals of operating equipment and optimum terms of repair works. This allows the extension of lifespan of such equipment. Effective mathematical models and methods are developed for the numerical analysis of the electromagnetic fields in the nonlinear ferromagnetic elements of powerful electrical equipment, and also of the related mechanical processes taking into account the phenomenon of magnetostriction.
