Aim of the study: selection and transfer of spring barley varieties to the State Variety Test. 11 varieties have been sent to the state testing during 2006 - 2010 years and 4 varieties of spring barley are being tested - in all 15, including 2010. According to the plan the variety Rogan and in excess of it 3 varieties (Agrariy, Shchedriy, Dyvoglyad) have been sent to trialing. 8 varieties of barley including 2010 year Dokaz, have been introduced into the agricultural production of Ukraine during 2006 - 2010 years period. For 2010 13 varieties of spring barley belonging to the breeding of Plant Production Institute nd. a. V. Ya. Yuriev of UAAS have been enlisted in the State Plant Variety Register (9 brewer's and 4 grain) that is 13% of a total number. State trials of 3 varieties - Lad, Modern, Stozhar are being gone on now.
