At the local level a decisive influence has specificity and level of anthropogenic transformation of the floodplain landscape (anthropogenic gradient). Also in shaping of biotic diversity an important role plays landscape diversity (landscape heterogeneity), and mosaic habitats, which often has anthropogenic origins. A number of actions that promote of the preservation and maintenance of biotic diversity in the basin of the Pripyat river have been proposed.
