Objective - the development of science-based engineering methods of hydraulic calculation of pneumatic conveying systems and the improvement of their technical and economic characteristics. Research method is analytically-experimental with the construction of mathematical models of investigating processes, computer registration and experimental data processing. The design method, algorithm and software of hydraulic design of pneumatic conveying pipelines are worked out. The computational accuracy is proved by the experiment and research experimental data of both own and other authors. Design procedure of parameters of pneumatic conveyance is intended for application in design organizations. Industrial testing of small-size blow vessel pump samples corroborated the high efficiency of the developed technique for calculation and design of pneumatic conveying equipment. At Slavyansk thermal power plant it was agreed to replace gradually pneumatic conveying pumps by blow vessel constructions of the Automobile Transport and Highway Engineering Institute of Donetsk National Technical University. In 2011 14 modernized small-size blow vessel pumps are subject to production and installation in the feed line of coal dust from the coal-preparation shop on the power-units.
