The purpose of the work is development of economically alloyed, wear-resistant alloys which do not containalloying components, and methods of strengthening, based upon formation of hetero-phaseous metastable states for the increase of mechanical and operating properties of wear-resistant materials, and surface layers of machine parts. Methods of research methods - for the development of physical and mathematic models is the method of the smallest sqares and cross-correlation analysis, for the research: macro- and microstructure metallography, electron-microscopic, x-ray structural inspection, magnetometer, testing of mechanical properties, measuring of hardness, microhardness, of wear-resistance testing in the different conditions of wear: dry friction of metal on metal type , impact-abrasive and abrasive wearing. The results of the work: developed were: scientific concept, physical-mathematic models, flowsheets and methods of treatments for creation of hetero-phases metastable states. New compositions of wear-resistant cast-irons and surfacing materials were developed, as well as new methods of thermal-cycle treatment. The novelty of the work is new approaches to creation of wear-resistant alloys, new compositions of wear-resistant cast-irons, surfacing materials, new methods of thermal and thermo-cyclic work-hardenings for which patents were granted. The efficiency implementation of the results of the research consists in the fact that the developed materials and alloying components do not contain the materials , which are very scarce in the Ukraine and many other countries: nickel, molibdenum, columbium, and therefore are much cheaper than their analogues and at the sime time they possess superior complex of properties. The results of the work were recoommended for implementation at Mariupol Ilych iron and steel works PJSC and also can be used at many metallurgical, machine-building and repair-mechanical enterprises.
