Aim of the project: development of design documentation, manufacturing and testing of the device - ion accelerator with cone-shaped band ion beam meant for the surface cleaning. Research techniques: optical - photographing of the working gas light emission induced by the ion beam and electrical - measurements of current-voltage characteristics of the device. Results: the device which is able to clean a surface of complex shape, including inner and outer surfaces of metallic tubes has been produced and tested. The idea of the device is new, original, secured by the patent for an invention № 92027 "Ion source with closed electron drift" registered in the State Patent Register of Ukraine for Inventions 27.09.2010. A prospective application field is the cleaning of metallic articles in the vacuum welding technology.
