Revealed fatty acid disorders in the serum in above investigated infants associated with increased omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which proves of pro-inflammatory features of lipid metabolism. Recommended the investigation of fatty acid profile in infants with functional and organic bowel diseases, using non-invasive method such as the investigation of fatty acid profile in saliva. The ratio of arachidonic acis versus linilenic acid can be used as an additional criterion of the status of inflammatory process. Based on the results of the investigation it was proved that the cytokine's status in infants with functional and organic bowel diseases is characterized by pro-inflammatory features which is advanced in infants with protracted enterocolitis. Revealed the influence of micribiota disorders on clinical manifestation of functional and organic bowel diseases. Found the influence of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on the course of functional and organic bowel diseases. Shown new ways of nutritional correction of functional and organic bowel diseases in infants by using the functional foods enriched with polyunsaturated fatty acids. Defended 4 dissertations: 1 advanced doctor of philosophy and 3 doctors of philosophy in medicine. Published 18 scientific works, made 8 talks on scientific-practical conferences.
