The aim of research - to study the ability to associative nitrogen fixation of various grades of winter wheat, spring wheat and spring triticale and to reveal the grades with raised nitrogen-fixing potential.The methods of research - the microbiological, the biochemical, the agrochemical and the mathematical. During 2006-2010 years in the conditions of field experiments potential of nitrogen fixation of modern perspective grades of winter wheat, spring wheat and spring triticale was investigated. It is shown that potential activity of nitrogen fixation at rhizoplane of noted cultures characterized by considerable fluctuations (the coefficient of variation folds 24-97 %), that was caused by influence of environment factors and also existence of intravarietal variability in populations of grades. It is established that grades of winter wheat Zolotocolosa and Kirija characterized by the high level of Potential activity of nitrogen fixation and can be recommended as a weekend in plant-breeding work for the receipt of grades with increased potential of nitrogen fixation.
