The authors developed the theoretical model of personality formation as a subject of the culture dialogue by means of language and literature. They also developed techniques and strategies for the cultural self-determination of students within communicative competence. The practical results of the work include the preparation and defense of 1 thesis; the publication of 1 dictionary, 3 text books, 28 articles, 4 learner's guides; participation in 19 conferences; preparation and defense of 18 degree works. The results were introduced in the special courses, in the degree works, in the students' publications at the Foreign Languages Department of ZNU as well as in the teaching process in DUEP (Dnepropetrovsk).
