The purpose of the project is the conceptual understanding of Lesya Ukrainka's role in the development of the European culture, the allocation of the blank lacunas and the definition of the ways of the future researches. The basic method of the research is comparative. In the process of our research the modern methods, which were less prevailing in Lesya Ukrainka's works, were used: semiotic, structuralistic, intertextual, receptive, hermeneutic analysis; the conception of cultural anthropology, the structuralistic theory of culture, communicative aesthetics, phenomenology. In the result of the done work Lesya Ukrainka's views on the holistic phenomenon of the culture are systematized, the integral components of the author's culturophilosophical conception and the specificity of their interaction are defined; the neoclassicistic aspect of the author's modernistic discourse is interpreted as a unique cultural centrism of Lesya Ukrainka's artistic thinking as well as a direct connection of the author's creative work with the world cultural tradition that provides ranging from the ideological cliches in the interpretation of her legacy. Lesya Ukrainka's role in the European modernism is defined more precisely, Lesya Ukrainka's modernism is first retraced at the level of aesthetics and poetics (individual style), a number of actual comparative themes are researched. The results of the research are reflected in two monographs, the collection of treatises, 50 articles in the core publications, two dissertations (S. O.Kocherga's thesis for a Doctor's degree, A.A.Visich's DPhil are accepted for a defence in specialized Academic Senate). Introducing the results into the educational process the manual stamped by Department of Education and Science is published, special course is worked out and given, thirteen Master's and Diploma theses are defended.
