The influence of surface microstructure of tested objects on to the interferometer pattern was took into account. The estimation was made of wavefront phase perturbations influence on reliability and accuracy of measurements. The experimental setup was designed and standard wavelengths for precision interferometry applications were generated near 640 nm using nonlinear optical saturated absorption resonances in molecular iodine. The technique of two-dimentional experimental samples preparation were tested and the samples of nanosized island metal films of Au, Cu, Pb were produced.
