Work purpose: development and application of approaches of fracture mechanics for durability establishment of tribojoint, in particular elements of rolling/sliding pairs, fretting-pair, pulsing contact, etc. Research methods: singular integral equations method of contact problems for bodies with cracks, mechanical quadratures method, experimental research of rolling bodies contact fatigue, method of mass forces. The basic results: the singular integral equations method for bodies with curvilinear cracks under general contacting case of faces of cracks that develop in a contact zone (open crack - sliding with a friction - sticking) has been developed. On this basis in frameworks of previously proposed model of an estimation of contact durability of solids the calculation algorithm of determination of rolling pair elements durability by criterion of occurrence spalling of surfaces, that is formed consistently by two developments stages (shear and separation) of subsurface cracks has been developed. Material crack-resistance characteristics on separation and transversal shear are take into account, that did not consider earlier. The kinetics of edge crack faces contact under action of moving Hertzion load on body border has been investigated. It is theoretically established and experimentally confirmed, that the sizes of spalling parts (damages) considerably depend on the contact area sizes in tribojoint. The received results are applied to an estimation of contact durability of wheel-rail system elements. The propositions concerning the sample and load schemes for an establishment of cyclic crack-resistance characteristics of materials under transversal shear conditions are acquired. Application areas: calculations on strength and durability of machine joint and construction elements that work under fatigue contact conditions.
