Aim of research is to improve methods of primary seed production of perennial legume and cereal grasses and annual fodder crops for accelerated reproduction and wide introduction into production of new registered and perspective varieties of these crops. Methods of research are field, measuring-weighting, quantitative, laboratory, calculative-comparative, mathematic-statistic. Methodology of the improvement of varieties bred by Feed Research Institute of the UAAS and maintenance of their pureness on the basis of mass selection of the best plants by fodder and seed productivity in the nurseries for variety improvement that were founded to renew economic characteristics of perennial grasses. On the basis of developed schemes of keeping primary seed production there has been organized reproduction of original seed of more than 16 varieties of perennial legume and cereal grasses and annual fodder crops realized for seed production of specialized seed farms of the system of the UAAS, Vinnytsia and other regions.
