Aim of research is to investigate peculiarities of competitive interrelation, growth, development and formation of productivity indices in mixed sowings of maize hybrids ripening at different time periods with high protein grain forage crops. Methods of research are laboratory and field. The technology of maize cultivation in mixed sowings with soybean and faba beans that demands application of N90P60K60 into the main fertilizer, additional sowing of 1 row of bean component into space between maize rows that provides 60,2-61,5 t/ha of green mass, 13,3-13,9 t/ha of dry matter and crude protein output of 1,3 - 1,6 t/ha, with the prime cost of 1t of green mass - 96,59 - 96,93 grn. Novelty of the work is that for the first time in conditions of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine estimation of competitive interrelations in mixed sowings of maize hybrids with new varieties of legume crops depending on the correlation of components, sowing method and level of mineral nutrition is carried out. Introduction of mixed sowings of maize crops with leg-ume crops provides high yields of green mass with increased protein content. Maize sowings with additional sowing of legume crops into space between rows provides effective use of land area and increase of soil fertility due to biological nitrogen fixation by legume crops from the air.
