Another task was harmonization of the present and creation of the new up-to-date methods of control and evaluation chemical composition, quality and food value of fodders. Implementation of this task makes it possible to improve rations balancing and to raise productivity of farm animals and thus provide production of high-quality food for people. Sixteen methods for establishing chemical composition of fodders, raw material used for fodders, animals' excrements and animal produce are developed and improved. Chemical composition of fodders, including mineral, vitamin and aminoacid composition, sugar, starch, organic acids contents and food value of basic fodders were studied. It was investigated more than 8000 samples of fodders and raw material for fodders from various natural zones of Woodlands, Forest-Steppe and Steppe. Data base which contain chemical composition of basic fodders was created. It also includes data on chemical composition of green mass of annual and perennial grasses; hay made from legumes; seeds and grains of legumes and cereals; wastes of oil, starch and sugar industries, fodders of animal origin. The information is divided into groups: coarse fodders, succulent fodders, cereal grain, legumes grain, grain mixture, products of processing etc. The programme which is supposed to be supplemented and placed no the site of Fodder Institute allows to get necessary information concerning chemical composition and food value of fodders. It includes fodder samples from three areas of Woodlands, Forrest-Steppe and Steppe natural zones. Methods of study of acid and detergent (ADC) and neutral and detergent (NDC) cellulose in coarse and concentrated fodders and immune and fermentation method for determination of mass share of micotoxins were used.
