Chemical composition and food value of coarse and concentrated fodders was defined. The samples were taken from Vinnytsia, Khmelnutskiy, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Kyiv, Cherkassy, Chernigiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lugansk, Sumy, Poltava regions. In most of the samples macro- and microelement composition was defined. In some samples aminoacid composition of protein was studied. On the basis of the conducted research normative documents were worked out: CDY 15.71-37-383 :2006 "Fodders for animals, raw materials for production of full-ration mixtures. Complex mineral mixtures for cattle." Mass share of raw protein not less than 0,92%, metionin and cystine 0,87%. CDY 15.71-37-384 : 2006 "Fodders for animals, raw materials for full-ration mixtures production. Concentrated combined fodders for high-productive cows." Mass share of raw protein 13-18%, mass share of lysine not less than 6,1-8,6%, metionin - 1.5-3%. During the reported period balance experiment on pigs and cattle was carried out. Digestibility of basic nutrients, productivity of animals and biologic availability of micro- and macroelements were studied. New methodological approach to evaluation of fodders and rations upon the milk production was developed. It grounds on demand of cows in dry matters, raw protein, sugars, starch and raw cellulose.
