Aim of research - to work out agricultural and zootechnical standards for the main technological operations of mowing, turning, gathering, pressing, compression and hermetization of plant raw material using new machine and tractor devices and equipment for preservation. Methods of research - common and special methods of zootechnical analyses (physical, biological, physiological), field and technological. Results: Technological and zootechnical substantiation of using experimental and serial machines and tractors for mowing, turning, gathering, crushing and pressing hay and silage using universal power draft devices of the class 0.6, 0.9 and 1.4 ts was given. Evaluation of properties of fodder raw materials (including physical and mechanical), mode of operation of machines on the fields of various configurations was made according agrozootechnical demands. Standards for typical technological processes of harvesting and storage of forage crops for hay and silage were worked out. Technological parameters of silage and haylage storage in a barrow and pile storages of different size are determined. Novelty: technological and operation maps of hay and silage made from legume grasses stored in non-trench storages and on grounds with hard covering were developed. Standards for raw materials and quality of fodders stored in rolls, piles and barrows are defined. Efficiency of introduction: actual economic effect of the reduction of biological losses from silage mass fermentation is 2,48 grn./t when applying trophic mixture of propionic-acid bacteria, conservative "Propicont" (2 g/t) - 2,16 grn./t; when ensilaging Lucerne, esparcet and clover-cereal grass mixtures, when pressing into rolls with increased density - up to 3,82 grn./t; when storing legume-cereal hay in rolls and bales with loose kernel - up to 4,48 grn./t. Field of application: feed production at collective and private enterprises of all ownership forms.
