Aim of research is to work out theoretical foundations of increase of the yield and sowing characteristics of Lucerne and red clover on the basis of the study of the mechanism of seed yield formation depending on hydrothermal factors, interaction of ecological and agrotechnical factors in the system soil-weather-plant-seed productivity. Methods of research are field, visual, measuring-weighting, quantitative, method of the trial sheaf, laboratory, mathematic-statistic. Optimum parameters of meteorological factors necessary to supply favourable conditions for Lucerne seed yield formation: day air temperature - 20-30 оС, relative air humidity - 35-50%, total amount of atmospheric precipitation during a period of blossoming and bean formation - not more than 90-100 mm, quantity of days without precipitation in the given period - not less than 50, hours of solar isolation - not less than 700 (per day > 12 hours). Methods of nutrition optimization of seed sowings of Lucerne meadow variety Anitra on the basis of rational use of lime (Са(ОН)2 - 0,5 of the rate on the h. a.), mineral (N30P90K90) and water-soluble fertilizers that provided two-year cycle of Lucerne use for seed and yield increase by 20-25% are determined .
