Pathologic types of fibronectin fragmentation were determined. Their appearance reliably indicates high risk of subsequent thrombotic and hemorragic complications development. It was clinically and experimentally proved that pathologic degradation of fibronectin is the result of matrix metalloproteinase MMP-2 and MMP-9 activity change.
